Cocoa Beach Pier

Cocoa Beach Pier at DawnThe historic Cocoa Beach Pier extends 842 feet out over the Atlantic. It was built in 1962 and soon thereafter became the East Coast’s surfing capital. The pier has restaurants, bars, shops, fishing and beach rentals overlooking a wide, six-mile long sandy beach. Numerous festivals are held annually on the pier, as well. The silky, white sand beaches and crystal clear water make swimming, snorkeling, deep-sea diving, and of course, surfing, very popular at Cocoa Beach.

Almost any other kind of outdoor recreation can be found here, as well, including golf, tennis, hiking, biking, jet skiing or wind surfing. Cocoa Beach is known for its restaurants, whether it’s delicious seafood, Thai, Cuban, Italian, or a steak & fries; you’ll find it here. After dinner, kick back and relax at one of Cocoa Beach’s jazz clubs or beach side cafes. Cocoa Beach has over 2400 hotels, motels and vacation rentals including spacious Cocoa Beach Villas in the area, many within walking distance of the beach. The Kennedy Space Center and the gambling ships at Port Canaveral are just minutes away. Many seasoned Florida visitors make Cocoa Beach their home base for side trips to the Orlando attractions, which are just an hour away.
