| The State Farm Melbourne & Beaches Music Marathon Weekend makes for a perfect warm winter running destination. Held a month after the Disney Marathon, this rock-n-roll music marathon will feature more than 20 musical acts all situated along its half and full marathon courses!
This marathon may sound like fun and games...well it is..but its serious business! It's run on an USATF-certified course with championship timing. And its also one of the last qualifiers of the year for the Boston Marathon.
Both walker and headphone friendly, the marathon also features an elite field of Masters runners with $8,000.00 of the event's $10,500.00 cash purse going to top finishers in the men and women 40 & over Masters group.
The Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront is the event's host hotel and site of the Expo and packet pick-up the day before the race. This beachside hotel ffers a great beachfront and is near many restaurants and its located about two miles from the start and finish line. |
