Welcome to Florida's Space Coast! We would like to share with you our most Frequently Asked Questions below.
A. Call (800) 872-1969 or send a request via this site's contact form to receive the Space Coast Visitors' Guide; be sure to include your full address including zip/postal code. It lists our accommodations, attractions, restaurants, calendar of events, golf, fishing, etc. It is printed quarterly with new editions available the first weeks of January, April, July and October.
A. Yes! If you call 1-800-872-1969 (in the U.S. & Canada), you can request to be transferred to any property in our county to inquire about rates and to make reservations.
A. Adult admission is $38 and children ages 3-11 are $28. This is an all-inclusive ticket giving you access to bus tours of the restricted areas, IMAX films and all exhibits. KSC-VC is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. It opens at 9:00 A.m. and closes at dusk. Sunday is usually the least crowded day of the week.
A. The only way to get onto the viewing site on the Kennedy Space Center property is to purchase a Launch Viewing Opportunity Ticket through the KSC Visitor Complex. Call (321) 449-4444 or go to www.kennedyspacecenter.com for more information. There is also a viewing site at the US Astronaut Hall of Fame just outside the security gates of KSC. Call (321) 269-6100 or go to www.astronauthalloffame.com for more information.
Q. If I can't get a Launch Viewing Opportunity Ticket, where else can I go to get a good view of a launch?
A. The best viewing areas are along the shores of the Indian River in Downtown Titusville, near the intersection of US 1 and SR 402, at Space View Park or Sand Point Park; there's plenty of parking on the city streets. Other areas are Jetty Park in Port Canaveral, or anywhere on the sand of our beaches south of the Port.A. Avis, Budget and Hertz each have offices within a few miles of Port Canaveral, and each offers a free drop-off/pick-up service. You should drop off your luggage and passengers at the cruise terminal, then drive your rental car to the local office. You will be taken by shuttle van back to the terminal to board your ship. When your cruise ends, the shuttle van will be there to take you back to the local office for another rental car.
A. Port Canaveral offers lighted and secured parking directly in front of all cruise terminals at a rate of $12 per day, paid prior to embarkation.
A. Our "High" season, when hotel rates are the highest, is January through Easter or any dates around a scheduled space shuttle launch; and the "Low" season is in the Fall - September through December.
Q. I am hosting an event and would like sponsorship from the Space Coast Office of Tourism to help with the cost of advertising this event to potential visitors outside the Space Coast. How do I go about this process?
A. Please review the Cultural Events Cooperative Advertising Program Guidelines for detailed information.
